Collaboration with researchers or lone wolf

Post by Mark »

Hello, i am a kind of lone wolf in my research and i am thinking it is boring. Is it better to collaborate? how to find good collaborators?

I think I am in the same situation as you....working by myself most of the time. Some senior in my team say that it is good to attend the academic conference to meet researchers. I also try to talk with other people in my institute but sometimes the research areas are too far apart.

I agree with the above. There are many benefits to collaborate. You can get a different perspective. You can participate in more research topics, learn and help others, get to know more people etc.
