I think a sequence is like an ordered list of transactions. You can think as if it is some transactions appearing one after another.

Studying in the USA is not so hard, based on my friends' experience. But I would rather go to Europe or Asia.

I think there is maybe not more plagiarisim than before in research papers but it is much easier to detect it now, so that is why there seems to be more cases in recent years (in my opinion).
